Default Illinois R/C Monster Truck Challenge Series

We had a fantastic start to our series yesterday.
23 trucks showed up for a great day of racing. We had four more guys making their first trip to Versailles, Il. Phil, Chris, Joe,and Derek.

The series points will be up in an hour or so. I have decided to do the points so we have a really close points race at the end of the series in April. After the first event we have about 5 to 6 trucks tied. Should make for an exciting points Championship.

Please add info, or questions about the series to this post.

Thanks to all the racers for your support.

Almost forgot. Way to go Emily!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The event was a blast! I had a great time in racing and freestyle. It was great meeting everyone and I can’t wait for next month’s event.

I have to give a big thanks to Jason and Shelley for putting on a great event, everything flowed smooth, and it was fun for everyone involved!

Was great meeting everyone and I hope to be there with Dig, Phil, and the rest of you next month.

Also I have to give a lot of thanks to Dig and Shelley for helping me even get my truck ready. Most don't know that my Terminator chassis arrived at my home at 3 P.M. on Friday, and without Dig helping me assemble it Friday night, and Shelley hooking up the electronics, I would have never made a pass. So a big thanks to both of them. Also have to thank Brett Crawford for building a chassis that looks good, performs well, and can take whatever abuse I can throw at it.

Phil, those shots are awesome!

Take care, and keep it shiny side up!

I have to send out a thanks to Shelly and Jason as well. Not only for putting on a great event but my Bulldozer still needed the Electronics done on it. I'm a total novice when it comes to that stuff so for them to jump in and help was great. I thank both of you very much!

Also, my photos will be posted in this thread probably not tommarow but wednesday. I have an AC/DC concert tommarow so i'm going to be rocking all day long! haha. Anyway, i hope to see everybody at the next race. Also, Boss, if you get the chance e-mail me that video! Haha, that was one of those AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW CRAP moments.

Thanks again!

Default Racing Dates

Our next points series race will be February 7th.

We will be holding a test the timing system day on January 24th.
I will be charging each racer 5.00 dollars to come get some practice in.
The race on the 24th will just be for fun, no points, just setting up racing brackets, and making sure the new system is ok.

i'm busy then but i'll be hoping the new system works! as for the 7th i will be there!

and i guess this thread would be one to give thanks to everyone that helped me get my truck together that day. Like Chris i came with a truck in no condition to race. i got there maybe around 10:30 or so and i told Kerry and Jason of my ordeal and how i planned on jus watching and that my truck was in the car unable to run. Kerry instantly told me to bring it in to see what he could do to help get it running. A wheel widener later i was frankensteining my truck together jus to get it on the track. Dan got me a drive axle and Kerry with the widener. so the truck was ready to go after rubber banding and electrical taping my battery in place. took it for a quick run and then a noise started in the rear gearbox. lost a motor mount screw. luckily i found it and got everything tightened down. yet still had noise in the gearbox. drove through the qualifying with the noise. in between qualifying and round one of racing we diagnosed a busted gear in te box. we didn't know which one. so Mouse just said here use this gearbox the rest of the race. so i got a spare one from him and bolted on the new gearbox and remeshed the gears and off to round 2 and 3 i was. and i definately can't forget Mike and him letting me borrow a set of crystals since the Spektrum was being uncooperative. this easily was the greatest racing experience ever. thank you soooo very much guys it was awful nice of yall to help me and be good sports about it. thanks.

Derek
