John is that yours?

Wheels look odd at the bead, is that a 2.2 stuck in a clod wheel or just the tire mounted inside the bead area?

That is a pic Brett sent me. I guess he threw the the wheels on for a quick pic. That is a Clod tire, I think it's just off the bead.

Don't be silly. John's would have black rims on it, he has issues with chrome.

My only concern with this truck in looking at it, is the link/shock mount looks like the weak link. Then again, that's just judging by the pics of it and a bit of my engineering class background, but hey I haven't driven it/tested it. Otherwise this thing is amazing, looks sweet with clod tires on it. I had to make the decision to wait til spring to get this thing. I need to build a desktop computer before that because I have a 3yr old laptop that isn't really suiting my needs atm.

thats the thing you cant always judge something by the pics. past experience with me was i bought stuff that looked great in the pics and not so good when i recieved it. and vice versa.

I have to say again how great it looks with Clod rims/tires. It looks cool stock, but that combo really sets it off! I guess you'd have to gear down some with that setup?

I got a review up with pics but the video may be awhile. I'll be doing some test driving tomorrow.

i beleive the knuckles have to be either modified or replaced with something lower profile to work. not sure if brett has anything in the works but i'm sure something can be done to make them fit correctly.

I asked Brett, his response... Update:Nov 23 2009

I apologize, but I forgot that we made some late changes to the knuckles on the stock truck to make sure they didn't break.

You'll need 1/2" wideners per side to fit Clod wheels on the Ground Pounder. With those wideners, you can use the existing rod ends at the steering knuckles though. CPE-SPA1 will work fine, as would any TTR/ESP/RC4WD widener.

Again, sorry for my confusion. Now all I need to do is find all the other posts where I've given bad info and correct those...

i dont think this has been mentioned so far, but after looking over my rulebook, the ground pounder does fit within the rules of the nr/ctpa's box stock class - as long as it meets the weight and the 4ws mode is used.
