Default another new kid questions

I just got a twin detonator and its completely stock, what do people recommend me to get in the way of mods?

quick question- will using a 9.6v battery damge the stock moters? and what budget esc do people recommend?

I run mine with a novak super rooster esc, alu shocks, bearings all round and 15t hpi firebolt motors - runs well, i hope that helps
