Default Soilwork's CR-01

I finally got around to trying to finish my Cr-01. Upgrades included aluminum servo beds, heavy duty diff lockers, steel cvd driveshafts, Novak 55t and Rooster crawler esc, aluminum chassis side plates and Traxxas big bore shocks. Got some paint on it over the weekend and now I just need to do some touch up and deatil painiting on it.

I used Pactra Competition Orange for the body and Pactra Sprint White for the hardtop and backing color. Suspension is set up stock and I will make small changes here and there until I get it to my liking. Still need to order some aluminum beadlock rings and knuckles for it.

Yeah...I know! I cant paint!!!

John,
Get some black pinstripping tape and use it to clean up the lines and detail the break between orange and White.

Came out fine, you just need to do some finishing touches. Oh yeah, did you weight the front wheels? Stick on mag wheel weights from a speed shop or auto parts store then wrap a strip of electrical tape over it and reinstall tires. I found the fronts if weighted provide HUGE performance gains on that truck.

That's what I was planning on doing. I don't like the look of the stickers that came with it. I am going to use paint to detail the lights, door hinges..ect...ect...ect. It still needs some work, but it's my first multicolored body that I have painted. Not a bad start!!

Looks great, I have been to afraid to paint mine. I don't want to mess it up. I love the Orange, that's the color I was planning on painting mine, but I wanted the top black. Looks good.

Jump in there and start painting! I'm old school so I tape off I don't use that masking goo. It takes me forever to tape because I'm neurotic about making sure its stuck down

Ya, I normally tape mine up too, and I'll paint it soon. Most likely once the weather warms back up.

I got the electronics all hooked up. I just need to order aluminum knuckles and c-hubs. The steering throw is horrible. Need to take some meat off the knuckles, but there isnt to much meat on the plastic ones to begin with. Hopefully someone comes out with some CVD's in the future.

You can probably get MIP to make you a set, all you'll need is the dimensions. Should not be to hard since they probably already make a set for either a tlt or highlift

Ok, well the cost is not cheap, probably 100 bucks but it's only money right

From what I read, taking a few MM's off the axles and redoing the angle also helps. I took the ears and some meat off the plastic knuckes and it seems to helpout some what.
